LongHouse Reserve received the perfect weather when it opened for the season and welcomed visitors to its Rites of Spring celebration on April 30, 2016. The Opening Celebration saw guests strolling among gardens just beginning to bloom and taking in new sculptures as well as noting a few reinstallations of sculpture returning for 2016.

Rites of Spring also provided the opening of the design exhibition "Master Works" featuring furnishings and art-in-craft media. The show was co-curated by LongHouse staff Jack Lenor Larsen, founder, and Wendy Van Deusen, with guest curators James Zemaitis and Sherri Donghia. Click here for more information on the sculptures unveiled at the "Rites of Spring" celebration.

LongHouse celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
