"Unexpected Moments: Art with a Twist."

The Art Competition is Open to all artists; Artists do not need to live in The Hamptons
The Spring Art Contest is being Judged by Celine Mo, Managing Partner of VICTORI + MO in New York.
Art will be selected for a curated Online Exhibition presented at Hamptons Art Hub.com in early July 2019.
Winner of "Best in Show" will have an art work exhibited in a group show at VICTORI + MO. Cash Prizes will be awarded to winners of "Best in Show" ($250); "Best Fine Art" ($100) and "Best Photograph" ($100). All three winners also receive an annual Artist Directory Membership.
"UNEXPECTED MOMENTS: ART WITH A TWIST"
The Art Competition "Unexpected Moments: Art with a Twist" seeks art that surprises, challenges, delights or channels an unexpected moment. The aspect of unexpectedness can spring from the choice of material, a discovery made in the art making process, the source of inspiration, the composition's theme or a quality within a conceptual point of view.
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme liberally. All genres and mediums are welcome. Artists can live anywhere in the world; The Art Competition is not restricted to artists living or working in The Hamptons or the East End of Long Island.
Artists are encouraged (but not required) to provide a Statement about the art submitted or an Artist Statement or can supply both. Caption information about the submitted artworks are strongly encouraged.
Submission Fees are $45 for three art works and $55 for four artworks.
Art will be selected for a curated online exhibition at HamptonsArtHub.com to go live in July 2019 with winners selected in Three Categories.
CONTEST AWARDS
"Best in Show" Winner will have their art exhibited in a group show by VICTORI + MO gallery in New York. The timing and the specific artwork will be determined by the gallery. Cash Prizes will be awarded to the "Best in Show" ($250); "Best Fine Art" ($100); and "Best Photograph" ($100). All three winners will receive a free annual Artists Directory Membership at Hamptons Art Hub that includes Social Media Art Marketing. Honorable Mentions receive a Social Media Features on Hamptons Art Hub's Facebook and Instagram pages.
Winners of the Art Competition "Unexpected Moments: Art with a Twist" will be announced in early July 2019. The Online Exhibition at HamptonsArtHub.com opens in July 2019 and coincides with the announcement of the winners.
TO SUBMIT
All art submitted to the Art Competition needs to be original work with the artist holding the copyright, including the authorization to publish and exhibit the work.
Art work images should be uploaded as a jpeg or jpg with maximum of 750 pixels across and include captions.
Caption information should include Art Title, Artist Name, Medium and Dimensions with the Year Made encouraged.
Statements will be copy and pasted directly into the Text Box in the Submission Process.
There is no word limitation for statements.
Recommended Guidelines are:
Artist Statement - One to Three Paragraphs
Artwork Statement - One Paragraph
Artist Statements may include information about your art practice and art in general. Individual Art Work Statements will present information unique to the specific work.
Submissions need to be received by Sunday, June 23, 2019, by Midnight.
APPLYING
- Gather your Contest Materials: Artworks as jpegs / Caption information / Your Artist Statement (Optional) / Art work Statements (Optional)
- Resize jpegs so each one is low resolution with a maximum of 750 pixels horizontal. Images can be resized in Paint, PhotoShop, InDesign or other software programs. Questions? Call or email us.
- Complete the Form below and Pay the Contest Fee with a credit card.
- After payment has been made, a template will appear to upload the artwork images, captions and artist statements.
- In case of submission difficulties or questions, email [email protected] to complete the application process. Contest Submissions sent via email will not be processed until the Contest Fee Payment has been received.
