Art and culture continues to be strong on the East End with plenty of new art exhibitions to see, live music to hear and author readings to experience. Following is this week's list of where to find it all.

AMAGANSETT 

CRAZY MONKEY GALLERY - “Andrea McCafferty, Ellyn Tucker, and Bob Tucker” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through June 30. Also on view will be a group show featuring gallery member artists Daniel Schoenheimer, Jana Hayden, Jim Hayden, Barbara Bilotta, June Kaplan, Mark E. BRIDGEHAMPTON

BRIDGEHAMPTON MUSEUM - “Claus Hoie’s Greengrocer Series: Bountiful Harvest” has an Opening Reception on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through Oct. 15. PIERRE’S RESTAURANT - “Solo Show by Dick Huebner” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 2. THE MONTAUK LIBRARY - “Galileo’s Poetry & Shakespeare’s Astronomy: A Lecture by Dava Sobel” takes place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.The event is free.The Montauk Library is located at 871 Montauk Highway, Montauk, NY 11954. www.montauklibrary.org.

QUOGUE

QUOGUE LIBRARY GALLERY – “Cindy Patrick: East End Eden” has a reception and lecture on Saturday. The lecture, titled “Art in Your Pocket: Using the iPhone as a Creative Tool” begins at 1:30 p.m. followed by a reception from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Patrick uses her iPhone as a camera and the iPad as her editing tool for all of her photographic work. REMSENBURG

REMSENBURG ACADEMY - “Before & After Sandy” – Works by Ine Wijtvliet has an Opening Reception on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through June 22. The exhibition features uplifting abstract paintings reacting to Superstorm Sandy and its aftermath.

RIVERHEAD

VAIL-LEAVITT MUSIC HALL - “Sing East End 2014” takes place on Saturday at 7 p.m. The open karaoke benefit features over 40 local singers. All proceeds benefit East End Hospice’s Good Grief Program. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the show. There will be auction prizes and giveaways at the event. SOUTHAMPTON

LEVITAS CENTER FOR THE ARTS at SOUTHAMPTON CULTURAL CENTER - “Nature: Variations on a Theme” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 12. Artists on view include Deborah Black, Lucy Cookson, Mary Daunt, Janet Jennings, and Karen Kluglein. The exhibition was curated by Arlene Bujese.

“The Rising Stars Piano Series Presents Tomer Gewirtzman” takes place on Saturday at 7 p.m. Gewirtzman will perform works by Chopin, Liszt,  Fauré and Tchaikovsky.Tickets are $15 general admission, free for students under 21.

ROGERS MEMORIAL LIBRARYʼS Madelle Hegeler Semerjian Gallery – “A Southampton Artists Association Collective Show” has an Opening Reception on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition features the members of the Southampton Artists Association. The Madelle Hegeler Semerjian Gallery is located on the lower level of the Rogers Memorial Library, 91 Coopers Farm Rd, Southampton, NY 11968. www.myrml.org.

SOUTHAMPTON HISTORICAL MUSEUM - “Hail to the Beach: Paintings by Dinah Maxwell Smith” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition  remains on view through Oct. 18. The artist will exhibit contemporary impressionist paintings of Beach scenes on Long Island. SOUTHOLD

SOUTHOLD HISTORICAL SOCIETY’S Reichert Family Center’s Cosden-Price Gallery - “Passion for Colour” by Mac Titmus and Christopher J. Alexander has an Artist Reception on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through June 14. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “The Next Level Band” will perform on Friday at 6 p.m. The authentic reggae band includes steel drummer Tyrone Parris and vocalist La Dawn Parris. The event is free with museum admission.

“Landscape Pleasures” takes place on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, there will be a symposium featuring landscape architect Chip Callaway, architecture critic Martin Filler, and British garden designer Arne Maynard. On Sunday, There will be self-guided tours of Southampton Village gardens. Reservations are required. Tickets are $225, $175 for members. Tickets purchased at the Sponsor Level and above ($350+) are invited to share cocktails on Saturday evening and The Moraine in Water Mill.

WATERMILL CENTER -“Long Dream: Tracy Borg” will be presented on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. The ongoing multi-media installation includes looped video projected onto the doors of laundry machines. UPCOMING

SOUTHOLD HISTORICAL SOCIETY and PECONIC LANDING - Film Screening of “Ilya and Emilia Kabakov: Enter Here” takes place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. After the screening, there will be a Q&A with director Amei Wallach.

The film concerns artist Ilya Kabakov’s struggle to install 6 installations throughout Moscow, where he was forbidden to show his work. Both Ilya and his wife Emilia live on the North Fork.
