BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY-
An art crowd of Hamptons artists and art fans turned out to open the group show "Between Realities" at Peter Marcelle Gallery over Labor Day Weekend.
The group show presents work that presents a slice of realism through art made by historic and contemporary artists. Included in the show are paintings by Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009) and Jamie Wyeth and lifelike figurative sculpture by hyperrealism artist Marc Sijan. His work—which is typically life-sized--often stops viewers in their tracks to marvel at his mastery.

The exhibition also includes works by John Koch (1909–1978) and Italian American painter Luigi Lucioni (1900–1988). Works by both artists are held in permanent collections by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney, among others.
Continuing his commitment to exhibit East End artists, "Between Realities" includes works by landscape artist Miriam Dougenis, trompe l’oeil artist Win Zibeon, cherry wood portraits by Jenny Carpenter and assemblage pieces by Jim Gemake. The diverse lineup of contemporary realist painters includes Bo Bartlett, Caleb Carter, Anna Jurinich, Scott McIntire, Mike Viera and Brenda Zlamany.
Following are a few scenes from the Opening Reception. All photos were taken by Tom Kochie.
