Live music abounds this weekend in The Hamptons and on the North Fork with concerts featuring world-renowned performers all weekend long. Expect to hear jazz, classical and Latin American music in four separate concerts. Also on tap are an art documentary and a ceramics sale for charity. Classical Cellist-Guitar Duo

Boyd Meets Girl performs an eclectic concert ranging from baroque to the contemporary on Friday, May 17, 2019, at 6 p.m. at the Parrish Art Museum.

Part of the art museum's Salon Series, Boyd Meets Girl features Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd and American cellist Laura Metcalf who present a program of songs they've made their own. The duo have toured internationally, including the Newport Music Festival (Rhode Island); the Gharana Music Festival (Nepal) and the Monsoon Music Festival (India). Their debut album was released in 2017 with a 40-concert world tour. playing

REMBRANDT Exhibition on Screen

Hamptons International Film Festival teams up with the Southampton Arts Center to screen its final "Exhibition on Film" choice, "REMBRANDT," on Friday, May 17, 2019, at 8 p.m.

A major show of Rembrandt's work, hosted by London’s National Gallery and Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, is captured on film in "REMBRANDT." The film documents the landmark exhibition while weaving Rembrandt’s life story with behind-the-scenes preparations for the exhibitions and with curators and art historians remarking on key works. Directed by Kat Mansoor, the film has a 90 minute running time.

Benefit Ceramics Sale

The Clay Art Guild of The Hamptons holds a Handmade Ceramics Yard Sale on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clay Art Studio Courtyard in Water Mill, NY.

Proceeds of the sale benefit Maureen's Haven, a homeless outreach organization assisting those on the East End. Ceramics for sale are priced between $1 and $25 and higher. The Clay Art Studio Courtyard is located at 41 Old Mill Road, Water Mill, NY 11930. www.hamptonsclayart.org.

Rites of Spring Festival Presents Latin American Art Songs

The Rites of Spring Festival presents a concert of Latin American Art Songs on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 5 p.m. at Castello di Borghese Vineyards in Cutchogue, NY on the North Fork.

Nell Snaidas (soprano), Francisco Roldán (guitar) and Danny Mallon (hand percussion) present a musical journey through Spain, England, Latin America and the United States.  Spanning centuries of song, the program includes Flamenco influenced song to Blues and from Renaissance lute music to Puerto Rican, Brazilian and Dominican masterpieces.

Rising Stars Piano Recital

Nathan Lee performs as the final Rising Stars Piano Series musician on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Southampton Cultural Center in Southampton Village, NY.

Taking the stage of the Levitas Center for the Arts, Nathan Lee performed earlier in the week (on May 16, 2019) at Lincoln Center's Tully Hall where he gave a concert featuring Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Orchestra of St. Luke.  He has performed internationally and nationally including a sold-out and critically acclaimed Kennedy Center debut in Washington, D.C.

Gil Gutiérrez Jazz Trio in Montauk

The Gil Gutiérrez Jazz Trio performs at the Montuak Library on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 2:30 p.m.

Composed of Gil Gutiérrez on guitar, Bob Stern on jazz violin and David Rodriguez on bass, the trio makes a stop in Montauk on their North American Tour. Expect to find them on Tuesday and Wednesday night (May 21 & 22) at the Jazz Standard in NYC. All three musicians have serious props so catch them while you can.

Admission is free with early arrival recommended as concerts are well-attended. Open to the general public. Montauk Library is located at 871 Montauk Highway, Montauk, NY 11954.
