Chalk Art of Letting Go

Wolffer Estate Vineyard presents the "Chalk Art of Letting Go" with Artist Kara Hoblin on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m.

North Fork Artist Kara Hoblin brings her popular “Chalk Art of Letting Go” to Wolffer Estates. Each guest receives a small chalkboard and is encouraged to create chalk art inspired by a memory or emotion to let go. The work is erased at the end of the class to assist with the release of negative energy.

Film Screening

The Parrish Art Museum screens "Loving Vincent," the first fully-painted feature film, on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 6 p.m.

"Loving Vincent" (2017, PG-13, 94 minutes), features over 65,000 hand-painted oils created by 125 artists from around the world. Nominated for an Academy Award and winner of the European Film Award for Best Animated Feature, the film tells the story of Vincent van Gogh’s life and controversial death through his paintings and the characters that inhabit them.

In Concert: The Music of Chicago

The Suffolk Theater hosts "BEGINNINGS: A Celebration of the Music of Chicago" on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 8 p.m. Doors, bar and restaurant opens at 6:30 p.m.

Playing a line up of all-time Chicago favorites, the musicians of BEGINNINGS are experienced performers who have worked with Aretha Franklin, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, John Entwistle, Broadway's Rock of Ages, Spyro Gyra and more.

Comedy

Bay Street Theater presents "All Star Comedy" on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 8 p.m.

Presented in partnership with comedian Joseph Vecsey, the line up features performances by Barry Ribs (Apollo Theater, Opening Act for DL Hughley); Carie Karavas (Kevin Can Wait); and Marc Gerber (MTV's CatfishThe Steve Harvey Show).
