Another weekend, another round of new gallery shows opening with fanfare. Expect to find gallery happenings in Southampton, East Hampton and in Bellport this weekend. Events take place through March 24, 2019 on the East End of Long Island.

SATURDAY, MARCH 23, 2019

BELLPORT - EASTERN LONG ISLAND

MARQUEE PROJECTS - Singer Songwriter Dave Brown performs on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 6 p.m. Featuring all original songs for acoustic guitar and voice, Brown's music has been heard internationally on radio, television, film and stage. On view in the gallery are works by John Perreault, George Blaha, Andrew Laumann, Jeff Feld and gallery director Mark van Wagner. EAST HAMPTON

ASHAWAGH HALL - "THE WEDNESDAY GROUP AND FRIENDS: Spring New Beginnings" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. Also on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a free glass and watercolor workshop will be offered. Some supplies are available. The group show includes art by Eileen Dawn Skretch, Gerry Giliberti and others. Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Rd, East Hampton, NY 11937.

SUNDAY, MARCH 24, 2019

SOUTHAMPTON ARTS CENTER - "HANDOFF: Weaving in Space" has a Reception to celebrate the completion of the site-specific installation on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. Admission is free. The work was conceived by Christine Sciulli and Bastienne Schmidt and features contributions by artists Louise Eastman, Sabra Moon Elliot, Saskia Friedrich, LoVid, Toni Ross, Bastienne Schmidt, Christine Sciulli, Morgana Tetherow-Keller, Virva Hinnemo and Almond Zigmund.
