East Hampton Historical Cocktail Party & House Tour

The East Hampton Historical Society presents its "Opening Night Cocktails" at the Maidstone Club on Friday, November 23, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. The "House Tour" will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

The East Hampton Historical Society will showcase examples of historical and modern architecture in the Hamptons. This year’s tour will consist of five unique houses and proceeds will benefit the East Hampton Historical Society. A kick-off Cocktail Party at the at the historical Maidstone Club will welcome in this year’s House Tour, now in its 34th year.

Tickets start at $200 and include one ticket to the Cocktail Party and one ticket to the House Tour. Tickets for the tour can be picked up and purchased at Clinton Academy from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, November 23, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018. LongHouse Holiday Afternoon

LongHouse Reserve presents its "Holiday Afternoon" on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Harvest Barn Dance with Chart Guthrie & the Dance All Night Band

The Southampton Arts Center presents the "Harvest Barn Dance with Chart Guthrie and the Dance All Night Band" on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Contra Dance (aka Barn Dance) is a folk dance made up of long lines of couples. It has mixed origins from English country dance, Scottish country dance, and French dance styles in the 17th century. Sometimes described as New England folk dance or Appalachian folk dance, contra dances can be found around the world, but are most common in the United States. This dance is open to all ages and skill levels. The event will consist of a number of individual dances led by the caller, Chart Guthrie, who will teach the group the dance just before the music begins.

Center Stage Opens its Season with "Meet Me in St. Louis"

Southampton Cultural Center Center Stage presents "Meet Me in St. Louis - A Live Radio Play" on Friday, November 23, Sunday, November 25 and through December 9, 2018.

Opening the season and kicking off the holidays is the Long Island premiere of Joe Landry’s radio version of "Meet Me in St. Louis." Michael Disher directs, Alyssa Kelly choreographs, and Amanda Jones musically directs. The classic score includes "The Boy Next Door," "The Trolley Song" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Madoo Gallery Opening Reception 

The Madoo Conservancy presents "Not Nature," a group exhibition featuring contemporary Hamptons artists Laurie Lambrecht, Steve Miller, and Darius Yektai. The opening cocktail reception will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition will be on view on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. through December 22, 2018.

Each artist featured in "Not Nature" reveals their own profound connection to our environment, as land, sea, and air are absorbed through the senses and materialized as their art form. While nature remains the source and essence of their work, each artist has taken departures from naturalistic representation.
