Theater abounds and the Greenport Gallery Walk kicks off for the season this weekend on the East End. World Premiere of “FELLOW TRAVELERS”

Bay Street Theater presents the world premiere of the play, “FELLOW TRAVELERS.” The play will be staged from May 29 through June 17, 2018. This week's performances will be held on Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30 at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 30, Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, June 3 at 7 p.m.

“FELLOW TRAVELERS,” is a new play written by Jack Canfora and directed by Michael Wilson. Set during Hollywood’s notorious Blacklist, the play examines the relationship between legendary theater artists Arthur Miller and Elia Kazan and their close connection to Marilyn Monroe.

The Play “Don’t Dress for Dinner” in Quogue  

Hampton Theatre Company performs “Don’t Dress for Dinner” through June 10, 2018 in Quogue, NY. Performances take place Thursdays and Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

The comedic play, “Don’t Dress for Dinner” is written by Marc Camoletti and directed by George A. Loizides. Bernard is planning a romantic weekend at his home with his Parisian mistress while his wife Jacqueline is away. He has arranged for a Cordon Bleu chef to prepare gourmet delights and has also invited his best friend Robert to provide an alibi. Robert and Jacqueline are actually secret lovers and are determined that Jacqueline will not leave for the weekend; the cook has to pretend she is the mistress and the mistress is unable to cook. As everyone’s alibi gets confused with everyone else’s, an evening of hilarious confusion ensues. The cast includes: Andrew Botsford, Rosemary Cline, Matthew Conlon, Rebecca Edana, Amanda Greimsmann and Sam Yarabek.

The First Greenport Gallery Walk of the Season

The Greenport Gallery Walk kicks off on Friday, June 1, 2018, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Nine galleries located in the historic maritime village along Greenport Harbor in Peconic Bay and participate in the monthly Gallery Walk. In addition to galleries, many village shops will stay open late. If you're looking for art, it can be found at Hector deCordova Studio & Gallery, The Sirens’ Song Gallery, Nova Constellatio Gallery, Gallery M, The South Street Gallery, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company Gallery, Olive Studio, North Fork Art Collective, and VSOP Art + Design Projects.

Free and open to the public. The Greenport Gallery Walk will be held on the first Friday of the month, from June through December. www.greenportvillage.com.

FILM & TALK on Architecture at The Parrish

The Parrish Art Museum and HT2FF presents “FILM & TALK: American Masters—Eero Saarinen: The Architect Who Saw the Future,” on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 6 p.m. The event is in conjunction with the current exhibition, “Image Building.”

Explore the life of Finnish-American modernist architect Eero Saarinen (1910-1961), whose visionary buildings include National Historic Landmarks such as St. Louis’ iconic Gateway Arch, New York’s TWA Flight Center at JFK International Airport, Yale University's Ingalls Rink and Morse and Stiles Colleges, Virginia’s Dulles Airport, and modernist pedestal furniture like the Tulip chair. Travel with his son, Director of Photography Eric Saarinen, as he visits the sites of his father’s work on a cathartic journey, shot in 6K with the latest in drone technology. Followed by a Q&A with Peter Rosen.

“A Place in Pictures” Guided House Tour

Sylvester Manor Educational Farm presents “A Place in Pictures” Guided House Tour on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from noon to 3 p.m.

The second in-house exhibition, “A Place in Pictures, Sylvester Manor: Landscapes, Memory & Magic,” showcases photographs and paintings from the Sylvester Manor Educational Farm Collection. The exhibition illustrates the use of images to portray life at Sylvester Manor from the 19th century through the 20th century.

Outdoor Arts & Crafts Show

The Westhampton Chamber of Commerce presents the "Annual Maggie Burbank Arts & Crafts Show" on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The annual Arts & Crafts Show brings over 65 artisans and craftsman to the Westhampton Beach Village Green and Gazebo. Vendors will present fine art, sculpture, stained glass, fiber, jewelry, wood furniture, clay, pottery, shell art, blown glass, metal work and more.
