MIAMI—Street artists Al Diaz, Danny Minnick and Edwin Baker III created a special mural at Art Wynwood in response to the recent school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Al Diaza New York based artist and co-creator of SAMO© with Jean-Michel Basquiat, flew to Miami to create the piece and pay his respects to the tragedy that occurred on Wednesday February 14, 2018 in Broward County, Florida.

Danny Minnick is a skateboarder turned painter whose work has been compared to Basquiat's. The characters that appear in his paintings often conjure Keith Haring's whimsical style and humor, according to Maddox Gallery of London, who held a solo show of Minnick's art in July 2017.

Al Diaz's SAMO©, graffiti appeared in lower Manhattan from 1977 to 1979, according to his website.  Considered a text-oriented street artist, his career spans five decades. Most recently, he's been working with "WET PAINT" and "Service Change Alert" signs used throughout the New York City subway system, according to his bio.

Edwin Baker II is a self-taught painter and sculptor was born and raised in South Florida. He is currently based in LA and Palm Beach.
