Ever wonder how the life of a plein air painter differs from country to city? On Saturday, December 16, 2017, painter Valeri Larko will describe her encounters painting on location in the Bronx, Brooklyn and New Jersey in conjunction with her solo show "End Game" at Lyons Wier Gallery in Chelsea.
"Valeri Larko: End Game" features new landscapes painted on location at an abandoned golf center in the North Bronx. Larko began painting in earnest at the now defunct Bronx Golf Center in 2016 after squeezing through a fence and a gate and discovered a compelling world that couples the past with the present, set in a sprawling 12-acre site.
Valeri Larko begins her Talk at 2:30 p.m. The Artist Talk coincides with a Closing Reception that takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lyons Wier Gallery for Larko's solo show.
