There are some great options for exhibition receptions and art events this weekend in the Hamptons and on the East End. On Friday, head to Amagansett for the opening reception of a show of sculptures and paintings by two artists. On Saturday, The Artists Alliance of East Hampton presents a tour of 20 artist studios. While in East Hampton, head to Ashawagh Hall for the opening of a group show. If you're in the North Fork area, head to Greenport for a photographic solo show. Also opening is a painting solo show in Sag Harbor. Read on for the options through September 17, 2017.

ILLE ARTS - "Eva Cocco Sculpture & Edwina Lucas Paintings" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, September 15, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through October 3, 2017. Eva Cocco will present paintings inspired by the beauty of the natural world that emphasize the powerful qualities of light. Edwina Lucas will present anthropomorphic porcelain sculptures depicting interpretations of folkloric and holy figures. Ille Arts is located at 171 Main Street, Amagansett, New York 11930.

ARTISTS ALLIANCE OF EAST HAMPTON STUDIO TOUR takes place on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Twenty participating artists will open their studios to exhibit paintings, drawings and sculpture. ASHAWAGH HALL - "Free Falling" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition will be on view from September 15 to 17, 2017. Artists on view include Kirsten Benfield, Chris Butler, Anahi DeCanio, Jerry Schwabe and Richard Udice. Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, NY 11937.

ERIC FIRESTONE GALLERY - "Montauk Highway: Postwar Abstraction in the Hamptons" has an Closing Reception on Saturday, September 17, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. The show includes work by more than 25 artists who played an important role in the Hamptons scene in the 1950s and 1960s and had studios in the area. Eric Firestone Gallery is located at 4 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, NY 11937.

GREENPORT HARBOR BREWING COMPANY - "Against the Current" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through November 5, 2017. On view are abstracted photographs of boat hulls by Michele Dragonetti that highlight their symmetry and unique characteristics. KEYES ART at CHRISTY'S ART CENTER - "Matt Vega" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through October 1, 2017.
