Hampton Photo Arts and Framing has issued a call for art to be presented in an exhibition at Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton, N.Y. on November 12 - 13, 2016. Artwork for "An UnCommon Art Show" will be accepted at Hampton Photo Arts through Friday, November 11, 2016. Applications to for the exhibition are accepted on a first come, first served basis at Hampton Photo Arts until the exhibition has been filled.

"An UnCommon Art Show" focuses on nontraditional works of art inspired by all things out-of-the-ordinary and unique, according to Hampton Photo Arts and Framing. All mediums will be accepted. The exhibition is designed to reveal the artist talent of The Hamptons—from artists both well-known and those starting to make waves in the East End art scene.

Exhibiting artists, so far, over 35 unconventional local artists will be showcasing their work. This presents a rare opportunity for the public to see some of the best nontraditional local art being made today. The Opening Reception takes place on Saturday November 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.. The show continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

So far, exhibiting artists include Scott Bluedorn, Scott Gibbons and Franki Mancinelli, who is curating and organizing the show. Also, Peter Ngo, Carly Haffner, Adam Baranello, Erick Osbaldo Segura, Jennifer Muller, Miles Partington, Frank Sofo, Septi Anca, Stephen Solow, Luke Desario and William Broich.

In the upcoming week, Hamptons Art Hub will reveal some of the art that will be presented at the weekend-only exhibition at Ashawagh Hall.

Submissions of artwork are still being accepted. To submit art works, stop into Hampton Photo, Arts and Framing in the Bridgehampton Commons for an application. Two works by each artists will be considered for the exhibition. There are two size parameters: one work cannot exceed 16 x 20 inches with the second piece measuring a maximum of 20 x 24 inches. There is a submission/hanging fee of $40 that includes both pieces.
