The Hamptons and East End are great places to be over the next two weeks if you're an art and culture lover. Our list includes live music, theater, creatives in conversation, a moonlit river cruise and a chance to board an ecological art piece. 1. Ecological Artist's Modified Houseboat Comes to the East End

Mary Mattingly's "WetLand" will be open to the public Fridays through Mondays from June 9 - 23, 2016 and can be visited from noon to 5 p.m. on the Long Wharf.

"WetLand" is a modified houseboat made by the ecological artist Mary Mattingly to demonstrate easy sustainability projects such as solar power, rain water collection and purification, vegetable gardening, upcycling, and more. The vessel is being brought to the East End in conjunction with the exhibition, "Radical Seafaring," at the Parrish Art Museum.

Admission is free. The vessel will be docked at the Long Wharf, Sag Harbor, NY 11963. www.parrishart.org.

2. "The Underpants" Play by Steve Martin at Guild Hall

"The Underpants" is presented from June 9 to 26, 2016 at 8 p.m. at Guild Hall.

Bill Fennelly directs "The Underpants," a comedy from the mind of Steve Martin. The play highlights the absurdity of instant fame with verbal jousting and sexual innuendo. Starring Michael Brian Dunn, Marianna McClellan, Tuck Milligan, Daniel Passer, Sabrina Profitt, and Mark David Watson. Featuring Hollybeth Gourlay and Margot Plum

3. An Evening of Rapid-Fire Lectures at PechaKucha Night Hamptons 

PechaKucha Night Hamptons Vol. 16 takes place on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Parrish Art Museum.

"PechaKucha" is named for the sound of "chit-chat" in Japanese, and the rapid-fire lecture events take place in over 700 cities globally. In the Hamptons edition, a number of presenters are given 20 slides each with 20 seconds per slide to talk about living creatively on the East End. Presenters include artists, writers, musicians, gardeners, farmers, baymen, winemakers, chefs, designers, architects, and other local creative professionals. Vol. 16 presents David Bunn Martine, Sylvia Channing, Christopher Golden, Bethany Fancher, Terrance Fiore, Kevin McAllister, Daniel Pollera, Tara Prout, Kurt Rist, and Roman Roth.

4. Conversation and Reading With Actor Joel Grey 

Joel Grey reads from "Master of Ceremonies" on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 5 p.m. at Bay Street Theater.

Actor, singer, dancer and photographer Joel Grey will read selections from his memoir, "Master of Ceremonies" followed by a conversation with Bay Street Artistic Director Scott Schwartz. Grey will discuss his life and distinguished career.

5. Nancy Atlas Project Performs at "East End Collected2" Closing Reception

The Nancy Atlas Project performs on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Southampton Arts Center.

The art exhibition "East End Collected2" presents a concert featuring live music by the Nancy Atlas Project. Local favorite Nancy Atlas will perform rock and roll numbers to celebrate the exhibition drawing to a close.

6. Jazz Under the Moonlight Benefit

"Jazz Under the Moonlight" takes place on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. George's Golf & Country Club.

"Jazz Under the Moonlight" is a cocktail party with live music benefitting Cornell Cooperative Extension’s educational programs. The event includes appetizers, auctions and music by Jazz on the Halfshell.

7. Italian Opera at Diliberto Winery

Luca Canonici performs on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Diliberto Winery.

Luca Canonici is an Italian opera singer known for his career singing leading tenor roles in Europe. Since 2008, he has been Artistic Director of Opera Festival, a cultural association that organizes classical music events, shows and festivals in Florence and Tuscany.

8. Moonlight Cruise Down the Peconic

A Moonlight Cruise down the Peconic River takes place on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. in Riverhead.

The Long Island Aquarium presents an evening boat ride down the Peconic with complementary wine from Raphael vineyards accompanied by cheese and fruit.

9. Quogue Chamber Music Series Presents Kenari Saxophone Quartet

The Quogue Chamber Music Series will present live music by the Kenari Saxophone Quartet on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Quogue Community Hall.

Quogue Chamber Music will begin its seventh season with a performance by the Kenari Saxophone Quartet. The concert program includes Bach, Piazzolla, Dubois and other works. A party at the Quogue home of Drs. Scott and Christine Rodeo follows the event.
