Over two feet of snow that now blankets most of the East End has thrown a wrench into planned cultural events. It seems wise to call to confirm that events and exhibition openings are still taking place as scheduled. Following is this week's list of where to find art and culture in the Hamptons and East End this weekend.

RIVERHEAD

LYCEUM GALLERY - “East End Photographers Group: Focused Imagination” has an Opening Reception today from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through February 20. SAG HARBOR

BAY STREET THEATER - "Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas: Bill Sims Jr." takes place on Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20. Bay Street Theater is located at 1 Bay Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963. www.baystreet.org.

SHELTER ISLAND

WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - "Checkerboard Film Foundation Presents Roy Lichtenstein Tokyo Brushstrokeson Friday at 6 p.m. The film documents Lichtenstein's process in creating the large public sculpture Tokyo Brushstrokes. Following the screening will be a Q&A with Parrish Director Terrie Sultan and Edgar B. Howard, founder of Checkerboard Film Foundation. Admission is $10, free for members, students and children. Reservations are recommended.

RELATED: "Friday Night Films Illumniate Artists and Architects".

“Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays. Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries. Free with museum admission. Reservations suggested.
