July 4th Weekend is here bringing with it summer crowds, parties and plenty of art openings. This weekend's list is long and events start tonight with openings occurring on the North and South Forks. Happy Holiday!

AMAGANSETT 

CRAZY MONKEY GALLERY - “Group Show” featuring Sheila Rotner, Bo Parsons, and Byron Nernoff opens Thursday and has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through July 21. Rotner will show works created with building materials that explore Root Rectangle Geometry. Parsons will show ceramic sculptures inspired by man-made structures throughout history. Nernoff will exhibit images of steam engines and their parts inspired by the work of his father, a commercial artist who created large paintings of steamships. KARMA - “Peter Regli: Sleeping Stone” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through Sept. 7. The outdoor sculpture show includes a landscape with marble sculptures of religious idols, popular figurines, and household items arranged in unlikely combinations.
