Share something unique and memorable this Mother's Day Weekend, May 9-11.  Come enjoy Plein Air Peconic's "Open Spaces IV", an exhibition and sale of photographs and paintings inspired by the stunning beauty of the Hamptons landscape at Ashawagh Hall in Springs East Hampton, NY.

Established in 2006, the artists of Plein Air Peconic aim not only to capture the landscape, but to encourage preservation of the open spaces so vital to their work. Many of the lands featured have been conserved by the Peconic Land Trust.

The participating artists are Casey Chalem Anderson, Susan D'Alessio, Aubrey GraingerMichele Margit, Keith Mantell, Gordon Matheson, Tom Steele, and Kathryn Szoka.

A portion of all sales will benefit the Peconic Land Trust in appreciation of their tireless effort to conserve and maintain the beautiful land of the East End of Long Island.

The Peconic Land Trust was established in 1983 to conserve Long Island's working farms and natural lands. Since its inception, the nonprofit Trust has worked conscientiously with farmers, donors, municipalities, and other landowners to conserve over 8,600 acres of land on Long Island.

While working to conserve the productive farms, watersheds, woodlands, and beachfront of Long Island, the Trust is also protecting the unique rural heritage and natural resources of the region.

The artists of the Plein Air Peconic have a unique relationship with the Peconic Land Trust which allows the artists access to preserved properties in order to capture these vistas in art.

"Open Spaces IV", presented by Plein Air Peconic, will be held May 9 to 11 at Ashawagh Hall, 780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, NY. Hours are Friday and Saturday 10 - 8, Sunday 10 - 5.

The public is invited to two receptions.

Artist’s Reception: Saturday evening, May 10, from 5-8 pm and a Mother's Day Coffee: May 11 from 11 am -12:30 with coffee and muffins donated by Hamptons Coffee of Water Mill.
