A night of live music at Bay Street Theater raised over $13,000 to assist those stricken by the typhoon in the Philippines. The evening featured a line-up of 10 bands and a live auction. Area businesses chipped in and donated services for the effort. The benefit was co-hosted by musician and Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman and radio personality Bonnie Grice for WPPB.
“It was great to see everyone pulling together to make the event happen,” said Tracy Mitchell, Executive Director of Bay Street Theater. “While the final tally must be done, we know we raised over $13,000 that will go toward helping the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. We’re glad we could help.”
