This week feels like a transition with summer still lingering with the promise of fall soon to come. Either way, the art season continues on the East End. The upcoming days include the launch of a fall film series, an artist talk, a museum benefit cocktail party and plenty of art openings to attend.
AMAGANSETT
AMAGANSETT HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION - "Amagansett Art: Across the Years" will be on view Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. The exhibition remains on view on Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 15. EAST END HOSPICE - "13th ANNUAL BOX ART AUCTION" takes place on Sept. 7 at the Ross School Center for Well Being, Goodfriend Road, East Hampton, NY 11937. The Silent Auction begins at 4 p.m. and the Live Auction at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75; includes wine and hors d’oeuvres. www.eeh.org.

EAST HAMPTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY at the CLINTON ACADEMY MUSEUM - “Jazz Age East Hampton (1919-1933): Clothes, Clubs & Contraband” has a Special Curator Tour by Director Richard Barons on Saturday at 10 a.m. The exhibition remains on view through Oct. 13. GLENN HOROWITZ BOOKSELLER - “Adam Stennett: Survival, Evasion and Escape (The Artist’s Studio)” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through Oct. 16. Documentation of Adam Stennett’s month-long installation/endurance performance, “Artist Survival Shack,” will be presented in the exhibition. POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE AND STUDY CENTER- Artists on Film: The Power of Connection - “Connections: Ray Johnson On-Line” screens on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The film features Ray Johnson, an artist who sent drawings to friends and colleagues in order to develop connections. GREENPORT HARBOR BREWING COMPANY - “Wind Against Tide = Chaos on the Horizon” by Barbara Bilotta and Wendy Small has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Bilotta will exhibit abstract acrylic and resin paintings of water.
