The Maritime Festival takes over Greenport Village this weekend and brings a pop up art show and opportunities for artists of all ages to art and have fun. Across the East End, there are plenty of exhibition receptions, poetry reading at a historic art site, film screenings and culture events to fill a weekend. BRIDGEHAMPTON
CHASE EDWARDS CONTEMPORARY FINE ART - "Living Color" by J. Steven Manolis has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through October 20. Manolis will show 50 works on canvas and paper. Manolis seeks to impart an emotional response through color combinations and proportions in his paintings. VERED GALLERY – Gallery Talk for “Modernist Color: The First 90 Years” takes place on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Led by gallerist Janet Lehr. THE EAST END SEAPORT MUSEUM & MARINE FOUNDATION - "Little Merfolk" takes place on Saturday at noon at Mitchell Park. The event includes a mermaid/merman costume contest. “Pechakucha Night Hamptons: Vol. 9” takes place on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Parrish Art Museum.
