“NAHUM TSCHACBASOV: A RETROSPECTIVE” presented by Arthur T. Kalaher Fine Art at The National Arts Club opens June 1 with an Opening Reception on June 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. by invitation only. "ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM" opens June 1 and continues through Aug 2 at Michael Rosenfeld Gallery in Chelsea. “The Gate” by Charles Harlan at Karma has an Opening Reception on June 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. Sculptures on view in this exhibition explores the similarities between altars and bathroom sinks. "As Subject and Object: Contemporary Book Artists Explore Sacred Hebrew Texts" opens on June 14 at the Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA). The exhibition features around 40 works by 14 artists from 4 continents. Included is Book of Judith by Ellen Frank / Ellen Frank Illumination Arts Foundation of East Hampton, NY. "One Summer" opens on June 18 at Birnam Wood/Galleries. "SUMMER SELECTIONS" at Spanierman Modern in Midtown closes on June 28. The exhibition includes works by Dan Christensen, Frank Bowling, Stanley Boxer, Friedel Dzubas, Sam Francis, Carol Hunt, Paul Jenkins, Larry Poons, Jack Roth, Syd Solomon, James Walsh and Neil Williams.
