Located in the historic hamlet of St. James on Long Island, NY, Watermark Galleries exhibit work by photographic Artists that tells unique and emotional stories. One of only a few photography galleries on Long Island, the Gallery represents a variety of local mid-career and emerging photographic artists. Works range from soaring seascapes and coastal landscapes to distinctive impressionist and abstract images.
Curated by Landscape Architect & Photographer Bob Retnauer, the Gallery exhibits multiple artists at one time and all artwork is professionally staged and lightened. The Gallery welcomes and encourages serious photographic artists to submit their best work for recurring exhibitions and sales.
Although the Gallery is located in a traditional office building, it is an unpretentious and inviting venue for exhibitions, competitions, receptions, lectures and other arts-related events. We are proud to be an integral part of the resurgence of the St. James Historic Cultural Arts District.
