About The Artists:

Debbie Lee: Growing up on a tiny Island in Ohio, in the middle of Lake Erie, infused in me a deep appreciation of the natural world around me. As an adult I carry the joy of memories made from time spent watching a bee gather pollen, basking in the wonder of a sunset or moonrise, marveling at the perfection of a flower, shell, tree mushroom, bird…
Living on yet a much larger island, I still find I marvel in the beauty that surrounds us. The intention of my art is not to duplicate but celebrate that beauty whether natural or manmade.
Throughout my life I have honored this beauty through various mediums including, ceramics, painting, and steel sculpture. White line printing is a medium that enables me to articulate these subjects with simple lines while infusing them with movement and life.

Helen Janson has taken photographs since she was a young adult. Since retiring from a marketing career in NYC and relocating to the East End of Long Island she has been able to pursue her passion for photography fulltime. Originally from Southeast Massachusetts, Helen enjoys visiting family and photographing the beautiful shorelines of Narragansett Bay and Cape Cod. The beauty and atmosphere of Long Island’s East End are reminiscent of her childhood home and both locations provide the inspiration for many of her photographs. Helen’s work is a collection of fine-art photographs of sea- and landscapes capturing the serenity of nature. Most often taken in early morning or late evening, Helen explores how light and weather effects the elements of nature and the emotions they evoke. She also experiments with long exposure and camera movement to add softness and painting-like qualities to her photographs. Helen has studied photography at the International Center for Photography in NYC and with Alison Shaw, a fine arts photographer from Martha’s Vineyard. She has exhibited with the Light Painters Learning Center at local libraries and the East End Art Council where jurors selected and awarded prizes for her work in their 2016 Annual National Show. Helen lives in Mattituck, NY with her French bulldog, Henri. They love taking long walks on East End beaches and capturing a photograph. Her photographs can be viewed at helenjansonphotography.com.
