Over the past four decades, Larry Wolhandler has been making paintings that explore and challenge conventional assumptions of the abstract minimalist cannon as it relates to beauty, design, and artistic subjectivity. His new paintings continue to celebrate the deconstruction process of composition, as well as revel in the distortion of accurate applications.

MARQUEE PROJECTS is a contemporary art gallery and a project space. The gallery mounts monthly solo and group exhibitions and often invites curators to thematically play and foster aesthetic conversations. The gallery features thought provoking, material innovative and aesthetically engaging contemporary art by a cross section of emerging and established artists working today from across the United States. The gallery is located one hour east of Manhattan, on the southern shores of Long Island in the historic Village of Bellport and was established by artist Mark Van Wagner and Tonja Pulfer in April of 2017.
