– The William Ris Gallery will present Imagined /Actual: Photographs by Scott Farrell and Mike McLaughlin, an exhibition featuring works of landscapes, seascapes and architectural abstractions inspired by Long Island and New York City from February 17 – March 18, 2018. The selection of over 50 photographs brings together the impressive textural, melodious images of Scott Farrell and the sharp and expansive works of Mike McLaughlin to create a provocative photographic juxtaposition.

The William Ris Gallery opened on the North Fork in February of 2016 while remaining open in its established Stone Harbor, NJ location until this year. The gallery, while new to the East End of Long Island, was founded in 1966 and remains an art destination. Known for a wide range of original work, the constant is excellence with a strong stable of exceptional artists. The William RIs Gallery is owned and directed by Mary Cantone, who is dedicated to the importance of collecting original art and supporting artists. The Gallery exhibits an extensive selection of original contemporary works by East Coast artists with a Long Island concentration.
