A transformation of minimalist materials—perforated aluminum, can tabs, iron filings, ball chain, steel shot, ferrite/neodymium magnets, Tyvek, substances and parts associated with industrial/consumer functions—sculpted into opulent works of impressive scale and repetitious patterns—a numeracy of work hours, number of parts, weight, distance—that eloquently contrast with the choices that produced it. Curated by Christina Mossaides Strassfield, Museum Director/Chief Curator. Woodhouse Gallery.
