New York City’s Forum Gallery joins forces with Southampton’s MM Fine Art for their 2nd annual Southampton summer exhibition. Forum Gallery was founded in New York City in 1961 as a gallery of American figurative art and represents more than twenty American and European artists and estates.

Featured in the exhibition will be a variety of Forum artists including celebrated American realist painters Alan Magee and Davis Cone. Magee is recognized for his exquisite and serene paintings of nature and found objects, while acclaimed realist Davis Cone has chosen Art Deco movie theatres as his sole subject matter.

Also on view will be recent paintings by New York based artist Alyssa Monks. Neither portraits nor narratives, Monks’ paintings combine elements of portraiture and landscape into single-figure examinations of loss, love, desire and hope as they engage the viewer with lush, painterly surfaces, colors and brushstrokes.

Nature based abstract painter (and Southampton resident) Brian Rutenberg, will also be featured. Though South Carolina born, in recent years Rutenberg has found inspiration in East End environments similar to those of his beloved Low country. Rutenberg executes paintings that embrace a love of color, nature, and a passion for paint.

We hope you will join us for this diverse exhibition featuring some of today’s most renowned contemporary artists.
