The New York Studio School Alumni Association will open its 2015 Alumni Exhibition, "3 Jurors = 3 Shows," on August 7, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.The exhibition remains on view through September 20.

This year’s jurors are: Jason Andrew, curator, co-founder and director of Norte Maar, Outlet Fine Art and manager of the Estate of Jack Tworkov; Yevgeniya Baras, painter and co-founder of ReginaRex Gallery; and Fred Valentine, painter and founder of Valentine Gallery and recipient of a 2014 Guggenheim Award.

A highlight of the show is the announcement of the Mercedes Matter Award winners on September 15th, chosen by Raphael Rubinstein, the New York-based poet, art critic and contributing editor at Art in America, and Thomas Micchelli, an artist, writer and co-editor of Hyperallergic Weekend. All events will take place at the New York Studio School located at 8 W. 8th St., New York, NY. The show will be open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

“These three jurors will put together three separate shows from a group of extremely talented entrants from around the world. I think this will create our best exhibition yet,” said Larry Greenberg, co-chair of the Alumni Exhibition who is also the founder of Studio 10, located in Bushwick.

Many of the artists will welcome guest visits to their studios, which can be arranged by contacting Natacha Rousseau. According to Michael Tcheyan, co-chair of the Alumni Exhibition, “The opportunity to form a lifelong friendship with an artist, and support their efforts at the studio level is a uniquely rewarding way to participate in today’s art scene.”
