KEYES GALLERY - Film Screening and Talk by Lana Jokel takes place on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 8 p.m. "Cinema Night II" features the documentary "Chinese Laundray and Field of Waste", 1995, 45 minutes, features the journey of Chinese avant-garde artists Huang Yong Ping and Chen Zhen when they came to New York in 1993 to oversee the installation of their art at the New Museum of Contemporary Art. VSOP PROJECTS - "Aids to Navigation," a solo show of new works by Arden Scott, has an Opening Reception on Saturday, July 20, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. The welded, forged and painted steel sculptures are primarily constructed from salvaged shipbuilding materials and continue Scott's interest and connection to the sea and its lore, mythology and stories. Figurative in nature, the works represent a departure from the slim painted sculptures that appeared to be line drawings of sailboats and ice gliders.
