Art shows with receptions this weekend unveil group shows working in photography, mixed media and sculpture across the East End. Photography with water as muse forms an exhibition two-fer on the North Fork with events taking place in both galleries that are within driving distance. Add to the mix a film screening and book reading and the gallery scene is a full one. All events take place through July 14, 2019.

Meanwhile, Kathryn Markel Fine Arts opens a new show in its Bridgehampton gallery on Friday. There's no reception but walk in to see a fresh two-person exhibition featuring new work by Marilla Palmer and Sarah Irvin, on view through July 22, 2019. Also on tap for this weekend is an open air art show in Southampton Village and a ceramic studio tour. Looking for additional art shows already on view? Visit our Exhibition Finder by clicking here.
