A benefit art auction kick off, group shows in unusual places, live music and more take place in the art galleries of the East End. Ranging from East Hampton to Sag Harbor to Bellport and the North Fork's western edge, there's plenty of new art to see and fun times to be had all weekend long. While there's no reception, Kathryn Markel Fine Arts in Bridgeahampton opens for the summer season with "Of and On Paper," a two-person show featuring abstract works with a delicate air. SATURDAY, JUNE 1, 2019

EAST HAMPTON

ASHAWAGH HALL - "East End Photographers Group 31st Annual Spring Exhibition" has an Opening Reception with Live Music by Out East on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition is curated by Marilyn Stevenson with catering by Pamela Greinke. The show features the work of around 20 photographers including Virginia Aschmoneit, Ann Brandeis, Paul Dempsey, Rich Faron, Merry Frons, Gerry Giliberti, Jeffrey S. Gillis, Davic Gilmore, Janis Hurley, Helen Janson, Virginia Khuri, Joel Lefkowitz, Beron Miller, Michael Ruggerio, Dainis Saulitis, Rosa Hanna Scott, Clarence Simpson, James Slezak, Marilyn Stevenson and Nick Tarr.

JAMESPORT

WILLIAM RIS GALLERY teams up with Rites of Spring Music Festival to present "Tierkreis: Music of the Zodiac" performed by Cliff Baldwin and Dwight Frizzell on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 8 p.m. A Wine Reception immediately follows at the adjoining Sherwood House Vineyards. "Tierkreis: Music of the Zodiac" is Stockhausen's 12 part piece devoted to the constellations in the Zodiac. This is the first Stockhausen work presented by the Rites of Spring Music Festival. ROMANY KRAMORIS GALLERY - "Group Show" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibition features art seven local artists. Featured are Christopher Engel, Franklin Engel, Kelly Nelson, Diana Malcolmson, Alan Nevins, Barbara Groot and Heidi Rain. The show continues on view through June 13, 2019. SITE SPECIFIC POP UP at Christ Episcopal Church - "Divine Intervention" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. The group show features 34 artists from the East End and New York City with the work installed throughout the Christ Episcopal Church in Sag Harbor, NY. Curated by Teri Hackett, the exhibition presents installation, painting, photography, sculpture and artist books. Exhibiting artists include Reynold Ruffins, Bastienne Schmidt, Almond Zigmund, Drew Shiflett, April Gornik, Amanda Church, Christa Maiwald, Diane Mayo, Janet Goleas and others.

The exhibition remains on view through September 2, 2019 and can be viewed on Saturdays, from 3 to 5 p.m., and Sundays, form 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and by appointment. Admission is free. Fifty percent of art sales benefit the Community Cafe, a ministry which serves those in the Sag Harbor area who are hungry and / or lonely. MARQUEE PROJECTS - "An Artists' Place" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. The first of three group shows presented in collaboration with the Bellport Brookhaven Historical Society, the exhibitions celebrate the artists who have lived in the hamlet for the last two centuries. The first installment presents are by Lia Chavez, Jorge Otero-Pailos, John Perrault, Randy Polumbo, Peter Schlesinger, Gary Schneider, gallery director Mark Van Wagner and Larry Wolhandler. KEYES FINE ART - Paddle 8 Art Auction Preview & Cocktail Party to benefit Planned Parenthood of Hudson Peconic will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1 to 6 p.m. Keyes Fine Art is located at 53 Main Street at the American Hotel, Sag Harbor, NY 11963.
