The Armory Show drew over 57,000 people to the five-day art fair and offered a smooth presentation of artworks, despite the last-minute pier changes that impacted the presentation of The Armory Show and resulted in the cancellation of Volta NY.
This year's fair presented plenty of interesting contemporary art to see and contemplate. Booths were well-curated with many exhibitors playing with space, creating intimate nooks and crannies to discover art (as well as to encourage visitors to enter within, examine the art and stay a while).
Political art could be found across the three piers but did not overwhelm. Overall, The Armory Show presented a well-balanced fair of art with few repetitions of style or an over representation of any one artist (or artists) appearing across the show.
