Performance, parties and tours of historic (or interesting) places made our list of the top things to do this weekend in The Hamptons and on the North Fork. Live Radio Play Continues at Southampton Cultural Center

Southampton Cultural Center holds its final performances of "Meet Me in St. Louis - A Live Radio Play" on Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. through December 9, 2018. 

The Long Island premiere of Joe Landry’s radio version of "Meet Me in St. Louis" is the season opener for Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center. The score includes such classics as The Boy Next Door, The Trolley Song and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Michael Disher directs, Alyssa Kelly choreographs and Amanda Jones musically directs. Performances continue through December 9, 2018.

Greenport Village Gallery Walk

The final Greenport Gallery Walk of 2018 will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Eight galleries located in the historic maritime village along Greenport Harbor in Peconic Bay will participate in this month's Gallery Walk. In addition to galleries, many village shops will stay open late. If you're looking for art, it can be found at The Sirens’ Song Gallery, Nova Constellatio Gallery, Gallery M, The South Street Gallery, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company Gallery, Olive Studio, North Fork Art Collective and VSOP Art + Design Projects.

Free and open to the public. The Greenport Gallery Walk is held the first Friday of the month, from June through December. www.greenportvillage.com.

Guild Hall Artist Members Show Winner Talk

Guild Hall Exhibiting Artist Sara Mejia Kriendler will give a Gallery Talk on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:30 am.
Sara Mejia Kriendler’s solo exhibition in the Spiga Gallery was awarded in 2016 when she received the Top Honors Prize in Guild Hall Museum’s 78th Annual Artist Members Exhibition. Kriendler’s work was chosen out of 424 artists by the guest awards judge Jia Jia Fei, Director of Digital at the Jewish Museum in New York City.

Kriendler’s exhbition In Back of Beyond at Guild Hall features all new works that are variations on her current body of work that were exhibited for the first time at the Museo de Arte de Pereira (The Museum of Fine Arts of Pereira) this past Spring. This body of work investigates her maternal Colombian roots inspired by pre-Columbian gold, the history of the Spanish conquest of the new world, and the legend of the El Dorado.

Tour Historic Homes & Interesting Places

East Hampton Village holds its Annual Tour of Historic Inns and places on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The self-guided tour begins at The Huntting Inn at 94 Main St, East Hampton, NY 11937, where guests can check in and pick up maps. Each B&B welcomes guests with refreshments and conversation. Participating locations are set from Water Mill to East Hampton Village to Springs and include The Thomas Moran Studio, the Pollock-Krasner House, the Baker House, the Maidstone Hotel, 1770 House and more.

Discover the Serious Side of Humor Writing

Essayist, memoirist and radio host David Bouchier discusses the serious side of humor writing on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Canio's Books in Sag Harbor, NY

The award-winning weekly essayist for NPR gives a talk at Canio's. His commentaries and opinions have appeared in newspapers and magazines in the United States and the U.K. with his humor column publishing in the New York Times for 10 years in the Sunday edition. A word of advice? Get there early...events are typically packed and space is limited.

Sag Harbor Whaling Museum Annual Cocktail Party Fundraiser

The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum hosts its Fifth Annual Cocktail Party & Fundraiser on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Celebrate the season while receiving the rare chance to visit the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum in winter. Drinks and hors d'ouevres will be served in the Sage Parlor, decorated for the season. After the party, the museum reopens in April 2019.
