The public is invited to enjoy the last two Greenport Gallery Walks of the season: Friday, November 2 and Friday, December 7, 2018 from 6-9 pm, taking place in Greenport Village on the North Fork.
Eight of the galleries will be open for holiday viewing and celebration. The galleries will be offering affordable art and crafts perfect for gift giving as you enjoy holiday refreshments, good cheer, and art chat. The gallery walk is in our historic maritime village along Greenport Harbor. Besides the galleries many of the other village shops will also be staying open late for your browsing and shopping pleasure. Make an evening of it.
Plan dinner at one of the many restaurants for casual or formal dining. There will also be wine, local artisanal beer, and cheese tastings. A self guided tour, just follow the map and your whim. 1. The Sirens’ Song Gallery / 516 Main Street
Contemporary Fine Art, Printmaking Workshops, Vintage Collectibles / Caroline Waloski, the artist in residence has been exibiting at home and abroad since the 1980’s. Working in intaglio and relief printing methods, as well as painting, and sculpture with strong maritime mythological and feminist references. The gallery also presents many artists working in intaglio, and relief printing, sculpture, photography, painting, jewelry, and wearable art. Printmaking classes are offered to adults and children. A printmaking studio is available to experienced printers for editioning.

2. Nova Constellatio Gallery / 419 Main Street
Contemporary Realist Fine Art Painting / Isabelle Haran-Leonardi is a contemporary realist painter specializing in large scale landscapes of eastern Long Island’s vineyards and waters. Some of her images have been transposed to unique pillows to add a very special decorative touch for your home. Her work has appeared on the cover of Dan’s Papers.

Contemporary Crafts, and Fine Art / Gallery M is owned and operated by Myra Eisenberg a North Fork resident and contemporary master craftswoman and jeweler specializing in gold and silver. The gallery features one of a kind signed items created in metal, glass, ceramic, wood, and fiber. You will find many decorative and functional items to grace your home or hand crafted fashion items to be worn and treasured in this unique gallery.

4. The South Street Gallery / 18 South Street
Contemporary Fine Art and Art Workshops / Amy Worth and Tom Payne are the proprietors of this contemporary gallery featuring many northeast artists of a variety of styles and disciplines. The gallery has become well known for their 10 x 10 and Postcard exhibits. Worth along with curating the exhibits is an accomplished collage artist. The South Street also holds many workshops and life drawing classes for beginners as well as experienced artists.

5. Greenport Harbor Brewing Company Gallery / 234 Carpenter Street
Contemporary Fine Art / Ann Vandenburgh is the curator at this lovely gallery tucked into the upstairs tasting room of Greenport’s old fireouse, next to the old jail. Featuring many local artists specializing in nautical themed work including Scott Bluedorn whose whimsical, fantasy pen and ink drawings appear on the labels of the breweries ales.

7. North Fork Art Collective / 15 Front Street
Contemporary Art / Classes & Lectures / Community driven creative work and exhibition space. The founding members include: Kara Hoblin, Jeremy Garretson, Kelly Franke, Peter Treiber, Emma Ballou, Madison Fender, Scott Bluedorn. The artists represented work in many different mediums including painting, photography, and experimental techniques. The group also holds workshops and classes for beginners and experienced artists.

Contemporary Art & Design / Jonathan Weiskopf is the founder and curator of this exciting gallery and project space, going into its second season.
