LongHouse Reserve celebrated Brooklyn at its 2018 Gala on Saturday, July 21, 2018, in East Hampton, NY and honored Dustin Yellin of Pioneer Works and Joe Melillo of Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Drawing over 500 guests, the evening unfolded amid the art and grounds that was transformed through details that engaged the senses. The sandy dunes at the entrance of LongHouse Reserve were cloaked in Yves Klein Blue with smudge cleansing totems burning in floral displays and abalone shells.

Guests then passed through an entrance way clad in natural greenery while a solo musician serenaded nearby. Deep inside the cocktail party, barbecue pits wafted tempting aromas on one side of the reflecting pool while long trestle tables of grilled vegetables and artisanal cheeses provided visual temptation on the other side.

It’s where everyone youthful wants to live and with good reason."
David Lang then presented Joe Melillo with the LongHouse Art Leadership Award, while Dr. Janna Levin presented Dustin Yellin with the LongHouse Award. After dinner, musicians from Revel in Dimes and The High & Mighty Brass Band played through the night.
