Artists winning Awards of Excellence have been revealed for the Art League of Long Island’s "62nd Annual Members’ Exhibition, Part II" presented in Dix Hills, NY in Suffolk County on Long Island. Winners were selected by juror Professor Seung Lee, Director of Fine Arts and Graduate Studies Long Island University, C. W. Post Campus. There are 90 artworks in the current Members' Exhibition which is on view from December 9, 2017 to January 6, 2018 in the Art League's Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery.
Entry into the exhibit is open to Art League artist members and is judged by an art professional. Four artworks received Awards of Excellence for the current show, chosen from 90 works. On Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., Seung Lee will discuss his own art as well as his art award selections for Part I and Part II of the Members's Exhibition. Honorable Mentions for Part II were awarded to Liz Jorg Masi’s Dreaming (oil); Pamela Nolan’s Synchronized Chaos (encaustic oil on board); Russell Pulick’s Clay & Wood (clay & wood); Renee Blank Rosenking’s Celestial Staircase (oil); Patricia Russac’s Turmoil (mixed media) and Janice Tozzo’s Sea Coral (glass).
Awards for PART I
For Part I, Awards of Excellence were given to Karen Cunningham’s Song Of Myself (pastel); Vicki L. Dollin’s Mask of Innocence (oil); Heather Gottfried and Janet Costello’s Russ T.
