This weekend is a wild one in The Hamptons gallery scene. Expect vibrant gallery reception crawls in East Hampton and Sag Harbor on Saturday night. Down the street, in Springs, expect a gallery opening reception at Fireplace Project and the Fisherman's Fair at Ashawagh Hall, adding some extra fun for the final weekend of the Springs Invitational. On Sunday, return to both Sag Harbor and East Hampton for special events.

JANET LEHR FINE ARTS - "Origins of American Modernism Brunch & Panel" takes place on Sunday, August 20, 2017. The Panel, titled "Who, What & How of Moderns: The Two Poles of Photography and Painting" will be explored by Artcritical publisher David Cohen, art historian and professor Joan Marter and historic photography expert and gallerist Janet Lehr.
Panelists will be joined by surprise guests to discuss the relationship between photography and painting and the rise of Modernism.
