Feiler’s new vineyard paintings will be created in conjunction with her current solo show, “Colors From the Air, ” on view in the Borghese Gallery through October 1. The show features richly textured views of the southwest painted during her annual winter sojourn alongside sun-drenched scenes on the North and South Forks.
Feiler states, “I’m fascinated by the daily, almost hourly, changes in the shapes, colors and shadows in the vineyard rows, all set against the dynamic North Fork skies. I sense that these vines have a story to tell, and I find new inspiration to paint here each time I set up my easel.”

Borghese Vineyard has the unique distinction of being the original Long Island vineyard , the fruits of the vision of Alex and Louisa Hargrave. In 1998, Ann Marie and Marco Borghese took over the vineyard and winery, proudly continuing the legacy of producing superb, sophisticated wines. The rich history of this vineyard is now being carried on by the creative energy of young Giovanni Borghese. Borghese comments about Feiler’s art, “I was thrilled to speak with Patricia about featuring her show “Colors From the Air.” One morning as she was painting, undisturbed, near the Rio Grande in Texas, I called with an invitation to show her work in our Gallery. Patricia’s artistic eye for capturing the southwest as well as the raw emotion of sailing on the Peconic Bays reminds us that no matter what beauty she stumbles across in her travels, there is no place like home. “
