Theater, film screenings, live music and even an artist painting among the vines are some of the things that made our list of things to do this week and weekend in The Hamptons and on the North Fork. There's even a personal tour of a Hamptons vineyard with tasting among the vines.

The weekend also brings more benefit galas to make your Friday and Saturday nights sparkle. “The 39 Steps” at Southampton Cultural Center

VIA BROOKLYN THEATRE CORPORATION presents the award-winning production of Patrick Barlow’s “The 39 Steps,” directed by Craig J. George. Performances opened on July 13 and continue through July 30, 2017 at the Southampton Cultural Center.

“The 39 Steps” is a comedic lampooning of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic murder mystery thriller where four actors play over 50 characters. The production stars Rafe Terrizzi, Hannah Tova Wolff, Ian Harkins and Cori Hundt.

Wölffer Vineyard Walk & BBQ Dinner 

Wölffer presents a Wölffer Behind-the-Vine Event: Vineyard Walk and BBQ Dinner on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wölffer Estate Wine Stand.

An intimate vineyard walk will be led by Winemaker/Partner Roman Roth and Vineyard Manager Richie Pisacano. Participants will walk through the vines while learning about their sustainable viticulture and tasting Wölffer wines along the way. The tour will be followed by a BBQ dinner by Hill Country Barbecue Market.

Summer Concerts in the Park

The Southampton Cultural Center presents the 32nd Season of Concerts in the Park, an outdoor concert series held at Agawam Park or Coopers Beach in Southampton Village. On Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. the David Gluckh Klezmer Ensemble performs at Agawam Park and continues the summer concert series. Admission is free. Bring a blanket or beach chairs to enjoy the concert in comfort.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie” at North Fork Community Theatre

The North Fork Community Theatre presents “Thoroughly Modern Millie” opens July 20 and continues through August 6, 2017.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie,” set in 1922, tells the story of a small-town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to the big city looking for love and adventure. Directed by John Bradley, with music director Karen Hochstedler and producers Liz Liszanckie and Jen Eager.

Tickets are $25. Productions will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. The North Fork Community Theatre is located at 12700 Sound Ave, Mattituck, NY 11952. www.nfct.com.

Indoor & Outdoor Film Screenings at Southampton Arts Center

Southampton Arts Center teams up with the Hamptons International Film Festival to present two film screenings in Southampton Village as part of HIFF 25 Movies: 25 Years celebration.

First up is “Still Alice,” (2014, PG-13, 101 minutes, directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland). The film will be screened on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 7 p.m. inside at the Southampton Arts Center theater. The film portrays a linguistics professor and her family as they find their bonds tested when she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Tickets are $12 and $10 for HIFF members with code.

Next up is an outdoor screening of the film “Young Frankenstein” (1974, PG, 106 minutes, directed by Mel Brooks) on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. The screening is a special tribute to the late great Gene Wilder. While the film may already be known to viewers, he goes:  An American grandson of the infamous scientist, struggling to prove that he is not as insane as people believe, is invited to Transylvania, where he discovers the process that reanimates a dead body and unleashes plenty of laughter to go around. FREE. Screening begins at sunset. Bring chairs, blankets, and picnic with trivia offered for early birds. In the event of rain, the film will be shown indoors in the theater.

Bebe Neuwirth To Perform at Guild Hall

Guild Hall presents “Bebe Neuwirth: Stories with Piano” on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 8 p.m.

Two-time Emmy winner for her role on Cheers and Frasier and a Tony Award-winner for Sweet Charity, Bebe Neuwirth performs an evening of story songs ranging from Kander & Ebb and Stephen Sondheim to Tom Waits and Edith Piaf. Some stories are narratives, some are impressionistic and some unfold in the moment. All embody the nuances of many emotions, including joy, heartbreak, and nostalgia. Scott Cady is the music director and pianist and arranged the songs.

“Intimate Apparel” Performance at Bay Street 

Bay Street Theater continues its presentation of “Intimate Apparel.” Performance of this not-to-miss show continue through July 30, 2017. Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and Tony nominee Lynn Nottage,  the Bay Street production is directed by Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz and stars Kelly McCreary as Esther Mills (McCreary currently appears on Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Maggie Grace on television's ABC network). The cast of "Intimate Apparel" features Portia as Mrs. Dickson; Blake DeLong as Mr. Marks; Julia Motyka as Mrs. Van Buren; Edward O'Blenis as George and Shayna Small as Mayme.

"Intimate Apparel" tells the story of Esther Mills, a skilled African American seamstress with her own successful business in 1905, making lingerie for society ladies and “ladies of the night.” Lonely, she searches for something more in her life through a pen pal poet working on the Panama Canal and a Hasidic shopkeeper who shares his exquisite finds of fabrics and maybe something more.

Artist Paint Out with Patricia Feiler at Borghese Vinyard

North Fork artist Patricia Feiler leads an “ART IN THE VINES” event at Castello di Borghese Winery and Vineyard in Cutchogue on the North Fork on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. Watch Feiler paint en plein air, converse with the artist, and witness her creative process as paintings unfold among the vines. The series is free and open to the public. Art is for sale right from the easel.

Feiler’s new vineyard paintings will be created in conjunction with her current solo show, “Colors From the Air, ” on view in the Borghese Gallery through October 1, 2017. The show features richly textured views of the southwest painted during her winter annual sojourn alongside with sun-drenched scenes on the North and South Forks.
