Drawing inspiration from earth, water and sky, these divergent artists have produced unique pieces that reflect their individual interpretations of the essence of nature, resulting in an extraordinary collection of work expressed through paint,, ink, clay, mixed media and glass.

“Natural Selection” opens on Friday, June 23, and continues through Sunday, June 25, 2017. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, June 24, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, NY 11937.

The group show will present abstraction, figurative and impressionistic works. Exhibiting artists are Abby Abrams, Kirsten Benfield, Scott Bluedorn, Chris Butler, Kurt Giehl, Anne Holton, Mary Jaffe, Mary Laspia, Mark Perry, Karen Peters Sloves, Richard Udice, and Rona Winter.

Long Island artists have a unique connection with nature. Surrounded by breathtaking vistas of field and sea, enhanced by a preternatural light, these thirteen artists evoke that magic that is the East End.

“NATURAL SELECTION” will exhibit figurative and impressionistic work from established and emerging artists including Abby Abrams, Kirsten Benfield, Chris Butler, Kurt Giehl, Anne Holton, Mary Laspia, and Richard Udice.
