A healthy variety of exhibitions open this weekend across the East End. On Friday, head to Riverhead for a juried Collage show, or to Quogue for an exhibition of large canvases by an Abstract Expressionist. On Saturday, look for Opening Receptions in East Hampton, Greenport, Sag Harbor, and Southampton, including a sweeping show of fifteen women artists at Ashawagh Hall. EAST HAMPTON

ASHAWAGH HALL - “Our Art, Our Vision: Fifteen Women Artists of the East End” has an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition is on view through June 18, 2017. Fifteen Women Artists of the East End have joined together for this eclectic art show presenting paintings, sculpture, photography and glassworks. Landscapes, figuration and abstracts in oil, acrylic and pastel will be included in the show. HALSEY MCKAY GALLERY - "Sheree Hovsepian" and "Colby Bird | Mine Is Not To Reason Why Mine Is But To Do And Die" have an Opening Reception on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibitions remain on view through July 5, 2017. On view are new drawings, photography and collage by Sheree Hovsepian that make use of additive and subtractive layering. Also on view are photographic, mixed media constructions and interactive hanging sculpture by Colby Bird.
