Benefit season has officially kicked off in the Hamptons and on the East End. With the start of summer just around the corner, weekends may now have  benefit parties and galas, all supporting worthy causes, added to the list. Hampton Theatre Company Benefit Performance of “Alarms and Excursions”

Hampton Theatre Company presents a Special Benefit Performance of “Alarms and Excursions” by Michael Frayn on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

The benefit is sponsored and hosted by Colleen and Doug Rogers. The evening begins with wine and hors d’oeuvres in the theater at 6 p.m., with the performance starting at 6:30 p.m. A celebratory cocktail-buffet with the cast will follow at the Quogue Field Club at 8:45 p.m.

Annual Gala: An Evening of Wine & Roses

Southampton Cultural Center holds its “Annual Gala: An Evening of Wine & Roses” on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Southampton Social Club. The Gala celebrates 31 years of education, exhibitions and performance.

The event features food and wines along with live and silent auctions. The Gala honors Tom Clavin, NY Times Bestselling Author; Dan Gasby, Restauranteur and Brain Health Advocate; Bonnie Grice, Actress, NPR Broadcaster and host of The Song is You; Phil Keith, Author, Publisher, Educator; and Paton Miller, Artist, Educator. Master of Ceremonies is Gus Rosendale, NBC Anchor - Channel 4 News.

21st Annual Hamptons Heart Ball

The “21st Annual Hamptons Heart Ball” will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Southampton Arts Center. Enjoy cocktails, dinner, a live auction and dessert. The After Party held from 9:30 to 12:30 a.m., will include an open bar and DJ.

The evening celebrates the work and mission of the American Heart Association; donors and volunteers; and — most importantly — the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort. Last year, the Heart Ball campaign raised just over $71 million nation-wide allowing the AHA to fund life-saving research and prevention programs in the community and across the country.

Center Stage Benefit: "Darren Ottati: The Boys of Broadway"

Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center presents "Darren Ottati: The Boys of Broadway" from June 16 through June 18, 2017. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s matinee is at 2:30 p.m.

All three performances benefit Center Stage and kicks off the local theater troupe’s 10th Season. Darren Ottati leads a quintet of tenors, baritones and basses in this benefit concert highlighting Broadway’s most treasured male musical numbers. Featuring songs from "Damn Yankees," "Guys and Dolls," "The Civil War," "Beauty and the Beast," "On the Town," "South Pacific," "Brigadoon," "Les Miserables" and many more. In addition to Mr. Ottati, the evening features David Michael Cress, Tom Rosante, Doug Sabo and Jack Seabury. Amanda Jones musically directs the Center Stage Orchestra. Light refreshments and beverages will be served.

“Much Ado About Maddo: Sunset Garden Party and Market Preview” will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Jamie Niven will present a live auction. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn and shop at over two-dozen shops with rare plants, garden antiques, home décor, men’s and women’s fashion and beauty. The inaugurating Summer Studio Exhibition “Robert Dash: Sagaponack Landscapes,” will be the first exhibition in the newly restored, ca.1740 summer studio.

A Night in Havana: Annual All Against Abuse Gala

The Retreat presents “A Night in Havana: 22nd Annual All Against Abuse Gala” on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Field House, Ross School, Lower Campus. Festive attire with a Cuban flair.

The Gala’s featured performance will be by Maria Bacardi, also enjoy live salsa music with Mambo Loco, Monte Carlo Style Gaming by Great Neck Games, Auctioneer and Entertainer CK Swett, Cuban inspired dishes catered by Art of Eating, and late night DJ dancing with East End Entertainment. Over the past two decades, All Against Abuse has raised over $2.5 million in support of The Retreat’s mission to provide safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence.

April Gornik, Jacques Pepin, and Peter Dayton are among the artists bringing back the tradition of hand painted ceramic plates to All Against Abuse.

Hamptons Artists for Haiti

Wings Over Haiti presents “Hamptons Artists for Haiti” on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Watermill Center.

Wings Over Haiti takes flight again with the Ranquitte school project. The first school built has changed children’s lives but there is more work to do. For about 300 children who live in Ranquitte, a farming village in central Haiti, there is no school. The old one is in ruins, but Wings Over Haiti made a pledge to the community to rebuild it to be the vibrant and thriving school it once was.

The evening will include an art show and silent auction curated by folioeast, live music by Alfredo Merat, hors d’ouevres and cocktails, wine donated by Channing Daughters and Wölffer, and spirits donated by Sagaponack Vodka and Montauk Rum Runners.

The Sag Harbor Historical Society Annual Benefit Party will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Breakwater Yacht Club.

The evening will feature cocktails and appetizers. The Mission of the Sag Harbor Historical Society is to promote and encourage public education and appreciation of Sag Harbor history; to work for the preservation of historic buildings and sites; and to foster the preservation of the historic character of the village.

Sylvester Manor’s Sixth Annual Farm to Table Benefit Dinner

“Sylvester Manor’s Sixth Annual Farm to Table Benefit Dinner” will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. The benefit takes place on the historic ground of Sylvester Manor Educational Farm.

This year Berkshire-based Fire Roasted Catering returns and will be featuring Sylvester Manor’s meats and farm produce. Celebrate with authentic music, food, local wines, spirits, dancing and more. Proceeds from the Farm to Table Dinner directly support Sylvester Manor Educational Farm’s mission to invite new thought about the importance of food, culture and place in our daily lives.

East End Hospice’s An Evening in Paris Summer Gala

The East End Hospice’s “An Evening in Paris Summer Gala” will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at The Jeffrey’s in Quogue.

The event features cocktails, dinner, dancing, casino games, and a silent auction. The 18th Annual Dorothy Pell Savage Good Samaritan Award will be presented to the 103rd Rescue Squadron. The Master of Ceremonies will be Lucas Hunt, catering by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, and music by Times Square Orchestra.

Jazz for Jennings

“Jazz for Jennings” will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Watermill Center.

The jazz brunch and concert will support the kids and families at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center. The Artistic Director & Band Leader Drummer Evan Sherman, is pulling together his Big Band, which will include Patrick Bartley (Alto Sax player with the Late Show Stephen Colbert Band, Ruben Fox (Tenor Sax from London), rising star at Juilliard- Julius Rodriquez, Veteran guitarist, Dan Rose, alum of Jazz@Jennings 2004 Tenor saxophonist Julian Lee, a recipient of the 2017 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award.
