The Springs Improvement Society is holding its annual Fisherman’s Fair at a new date and time. The free family friendly event takes place on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Ashawagh Hall, 780 Springs Fireplace Rd., corner of Old Stone Highway, East Hampton, NY.

The Kids Area will be open from 1 - 5 p.m. and features the Bounce House, a host of games and the opportunity for children to make fish prints. A large Craft Section will be open from 1 to 8 p.m. Wonderful local food—chowder, clam pies, baked clams, oysters, hot dogs, corn, and our famous seafood combo—will be served across the street at the Springs Church from 1 - 8 p.m.

Seven musical groups will perform from 1 - 8 p.m. and feature special guests Nancy Atlas and Inda Eaton at 3 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and settle in. The annual Plant Sale is also held throughout the event and includes the sale of the brand new Invitational posters, Fisherman Fair T-shirts, mugs and caps.

While attending the Fisherman's Fair, wander inside Ashawagh Hall to see the 49th Annual Springs Invitational Art Show featuring art by 95 contemporary artists working throughout The Hamptons. This year's exhibition was curated by Nick Tarr. The show is open for viewing Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Invitational closes on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
