The summer benefit season arrives in July to The Hamptons and East End. Benefits and galas take place every weekend in July ensuring fun while supporting causes important to the East End and beyond. In July, benefits will be held for the Parrish Art Museum, Bay Street Theater, LongHouse Reserve, Watermill Center and others.

July 8, 2016 (Friday)

Clams for Clams 2016

“Clams for Clams” will take place on Friday, July 8, 2016. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a raw bar from 6 to 8:30 p.m. A Sunset Cruise will be held at 7 p.m.

Honoring Liz and Bob Sloan for their commitment to marine sciences and the clams for clean water initiative, the benefit raises funds to help restore Shinnecock Bay, including the building of clam spawner sanctuaries and implementing measures to control algae blooms and clean the water.

Parrish Art Museum Midsummer Party

“The Midsummer Party 2016” will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Parrish Art Museum. Tickets start at $1,500 and feature, cocktails, dinner and live auction. PCC After Party takes place from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. with dancing, dessert and drinks in the Lichtenstein Theater to Coleman Music. The After Party is for Parrish Contemporaries Circle Members and invited guests.

Bay Street’s 25th Anniversary Annual Summer Gala

“Bay Street Theater’s 25th Anniversary Annual Summer Gala” will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, NY. A VIP cocktail reception will be held at 5:30 p.m., with an awards presentation and a performance at the theater from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The performance will feature scenes from selected past Bay Street productions. The Tent opens for cocktails, a silent auction, dancing and dinner at 7:30 p.m.

Individual tickets are $425 for Young Professionals and $1,250. Tables range from $10,000 to $25,000. Table purchases help to support the Free Student Ticket initiative. The Long Wharf is located in Sag Harbor, NY 11963. www.baystreet.org

Southold Historical Society’s Summer Gala

“Southold Historical Society’s Summer Gala – A Picnic in the Park” will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Museum Complex. Wine and beer as well as hors d’oeuvres will be served and enjoy oysters from the Southold Fish Market. A DJ will play summer tunes, and the winning raffle ticket will be drawn. 

Tickets are $100 per person, and can be purchased online, at the Southold Historical Society Office in the Prince Building, 54325 Main Road, Southold (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) or at the event. Halsey House Gala

“Halsey House Gala” will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. This neighborly lawn party takes place at Southampton’s oldest home – The Thomas Halsey Homestead, established in 1648. From 5:30 to 8 p.m. attendees will toast to the summer and enjoy locally sourced food from our farms and bays. A curated silent auction offers the essentials of life in the Hamptons, like a cocktail cruise, work by local artists, and a private supper inside Halsey House.

Hamptons Tea Dance

The Hamptons Tea Dance takes place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nova's Ark Project in Water Mill.

The Hamptons Tea Dance has been an LGBTQ tradition in the Hamptons since 1992. The event benefits The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center),  Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) and Callen-Lorde Community Health Center (Callen-Lorde). The benefit features music by DJ Lady Bunny.

Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s 17th Annual ART FOR LIFE Hamptons Gala

“Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s 17th Annual ART FOR LIFE Hamptons Gala” will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Fairview Farms in Bridgehampton, NY. Cocktails start at 6 p.m., with dinner and a program beginning at 7 p.m.

The evening is held in celebration of the creative energy of our inner-city youth, honored exemplary individuals for success in their respective fields and good works to better our communities. Anthony Anderson will host the Gala, with music by DJ M.O.S., DJ Kiss and special performances. This year's Featured Artist is Nari Ward.

Maureen’s Haven Annual Gala

“Maureen’s Haven Annual Gala” will take place on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Hyatt Sea Star Ballroom in Riverhead, NY. Maureen’s Haven assists the homeless on the East End by providing shelter, supportive services and compassionate care for individuals in need.

LongHouse Reserve’s Jubilee Year Summer Benefit, Serious Moonlight

“LongHouse Reserve’s Jubilee Year Summer Benefit, Serious Moonlight” will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 6 p.m. The benefit celebrates LongHouse Reserve's 25th year and pays tribute to founder Jack Lenor Larsen. Overseen by restaurateur Alice Waters, a Jubilee feast will be served, enjoy an anniversary short film, followed by dancing with a surprise David Bowie tribute and a silent auction.

This year Molly Chappellet and Luanne Wells will be honored with the LongHouse Art Leadership Award. Dress for the evening will be ‘night sky and silver.’ Bidding for the auction begins on July 4 at paddle8.com/auctions/longhouse.

“The Hampton Designer Showhouse Gala Preview Cocktail Party” will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2016. The Showhouse and Gala is benefiting the Southampton Hospital. The Hamptons Designer Showhouse presented by Traditional Home will take place from July 24 through September 5, 2016 in Sag Harbor, NY.

A Taste of Shelter Island

The Perlman Music Program presents their Annual Summer Benefit, "A Taste of Shelter Island," on Friday, July 29, 2016.

A cocktail and hors devours reception takes place at 6 p.m. followed by a concert featuring future stars of classical music, conducted by Maestros Itzhak Perlman and Patrick Romano at 7 p.m. Dinner and a silent auction take place at 8 p.m.

The Thomas Moran Trust's Midsummer Cocktail Party

The Thomas Moran Trust's "Midsummer Cocktail Party" will take place on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. on the grounds of the Thomas Moran and Mary Nimmo Moran Studio on Main Street in East Hampton Village.

The benefit party celebrates the final phases of the Thomas Moran Studio restoration project and offers the public a sneak-peek of the interior, as well as access to the outbuildings and grounds.

FADA House of Madness | The 23rd Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit & Auction

“The 23rd Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit & Auction” will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Cocktail hours are from 6 to 8 p.m.

Watermill’s International Summer Program participants come from over 25 countries to create installations and performances throughout the eight-and-a-half acre grounds for this event. The funds raised support The Watermill Center’s year-round Artist Residency and Education Programs.

The Watermill Center will collaborate with The Bruce High Quality Foundation (BHQF), as part of this year’s Summer Benefit & Auction. Entitled As We Lay Dying, BHQF will present a variety of works and performances throughout The Center’s grounds. This year’s gala will also feature performances and installations by Shaun Gladwell, and sound installations by ANOHNI.
