1. “Dead Accounts” Presented by the Hampton Theatre Company 

The second play of the Hampton Theatre Company's 2015-2016 season opens on January 14 at 7 p.m. at the Quogue Community Hall. "Dead Accounts" is Theresa Rebeck’s darkly comic take on the chasm that divides Americans in the midwest from their countrymen living in New York. The play is directed by Andrew Botsford. Performances run through January 31, 2016 with shows on Thursdays and Fridays at 7, Saturdays at 8 and Sundays at 2:30. The performance on Thursday, January 21, will be followed by a talkback with members of the cast and the director.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and $10 for students. The Quogue Community Hall is located at 125 Jessup Avenue, Quogue, NY 11959. www.hamptontheatre.org.

2. Screening of This Changes Everything at The Parrish Art Museum

A Screening of This Changes Everything takes place on Friday, January 15, at 6 p.m. The film, directed by Avi Lewis and inspired by Naomi Klein’s book of the same name, re-imagines the challenge of climate change.

3. The Met: Live in HD - Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles at Guild Hall

"The Met: Live in HD - Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles New Production” takes place on Saturday, January 16, at 1 p.m. at Guild Hall. Soprano Diana Damrau stars as Leïla. Her suitors are played by tenor Matthew Polenzani and baritone Mariusz Kwiecien. The opera is Directed by Penny Woolcock and Conducted by Gianandrea Noseda.

Admission is $22, $20 for members, $15 for students. Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937. www.guildhall.org.

4. Watermill Center's “Saturdays @ WMC”

"Saturdays @ WMC" takes place on Saturday, January 16, from 3 to 6 p.m. The afternoon begins with an open rehearsal of Repercussion by resident artist BOOMERANG. At 4:30 p.m. multi-instrumentalists David Coulter and Leo Abrahams with interdisciplinary performer Sophia Brous will present Lullaby Movement in an open rehearsal.

5. Opening Reception for “Winter Light: East End Artists” at Southampton Cultural Center

"Winter Light: East End Artists" has an Opening Reception on Saturday, January 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Southampton Cultural Center. The exhibition remains on view through February 16. The group show curated by Arlene Bujese seeks to brighten the winter months with colorful and stimulating works by 23 artists.

Exhibiting artists include Monica Banks, Stephanie Brody-Lederman, Darlene Charneco, Setha Low, Christa Maiwald, Louise Peabody, Fulvio Massi, Dan Welden, Calvin Albert and more.
