Searching for things to do with an art and culture spin in the Hamptons, East End and Riverhead? We've put together a short list of events for the weekend. This week, there's a bonus event for our weekly list.

 1. Book Readings and Wine Tasting & Tutorial

The White Room Gallery hosts an evening with two separate events on Friday. The night gets started with two book readings held from 5 to 5:30 p.m. with authors Owain Hughes and Anna Jurinich. Hughes shares selections from his 2013 book Everything I Have Always Forgotten (Seren Books), a memoir of his childhood in the ‘40s and ‘50s in Wales. Jurinich, an author, illustrator and artist, reads from The Christmas Odd Box (Halo Publishing International), a children’s book she wrote and illustrated.

From 6 to 7 p.m., the gallery offers the mini wine class “Shop it like a Somm”. Led by GM/Sommelier Chimene Macnaughton of Wainscott Main Wine & Spirits, the wine tasting and talk will reveal how to find hidden holiday values on restaurant lists and retail shelves.

2. Frank Sinatra’s 100h Birthday Celebration

The New Millennium Big Band celebrates Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday on Friday at the Suffolk Theater. Doors, bar and restaurant opens at 6:30 p.m. and dancing music begins at 8 p.m. The 19-piece band plays new arrangements of jazz standards and new jazz pieces. They've appeared at New York's Waldorf-Astoria, jazz clubs in New York and restaurants across Long Island.

Tickets are $35, with options for row seating and cabaret seating. An a la carte and price fixe menu are available for additional purchase. The Suffolk Theater is located at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead NY 11901. www.suffolktheater.com.

3. The Nutcracker Ballet

If watching The Nutcracker performed is part of your holiday tradition, there are two productions taking place this weekend in The Hamptons.

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School presents its seventh annual performance at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m. Resident guest artists Adam and Gail Baranello of the A & G Dance company perform as the Arabian Prince and Princess and guest artist Nick Peregrino of Ballet Fleming in Philadelphia performs the role of the Dew Drop Prince. School director Sara Jo Strickland choreographs. Tickets are $20 for children, $25 for adults, with day-of tickets $25 for children and $30 for adults. The Peconic Ballet Theatre of Riverhead performs its rendition of The Nutcracker at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday and Sunday at 2 and 7 p.m. on both days. Expect more than 100 local student dancers and a company of professionals. Tickets are $15. The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is located at 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach NY 11978. www.whbpac.org.

 4. Southampton Historical Museum’s Hearthside Cheer Celebration

The Southampton Historical Museum presents “Hearthside Cheer,” a special holiday event on Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum's Captain Albert Rogers Mansion. The event features drinks, sweets and hors d'oeuvres and a holiday sing-alongs of contemporary and traditional songs around a baby grand piano in the mansion’s Music Room. The mansion is decked out for the holidays with displays throughout including trees decorated with antique ornaments.

Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door. Rogers Mansion is located at 17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton NY 11968. www.southamptonhistoricalmuseum.org.

5. Chanukha Concert & Celebration at Southampton Cultural Center

The Southampton Cultural Center hosts a Chanukah Concert & Celebration featuring Chanukah Sand Art, a grand menorah lighting, a hot latke bar, donuts, and music by entertainer and performer Ben Shimon on Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is organized by Chabad of Southampton Jewish Center and The Siggi Wilzig Hamptons Jewish Children’s Center and held to support the people of Israel, France and America.

Free admission and open to all. The Southampton Cultural Center is located at 25 Pond Land, Southampton NY 11968. www.scc-arts.org.

6. BONUS! Rock and Roll Holiday Spectacular at Bay Street Theater

“The Vendettas: Rock and Roll Holiday Spectacular” returns to Bay Street Theater on Saturday at 8 p.m. Expect a lineup of rockabilly holiday hits and Roots Rock ’n’ Roll songs by the Long Island-based band, plus music from group The Holiday Horns, guest guitarist Chuck Ware and vocalist Erin Doherty.
