After painting on textiles for many years Ms. Goff went on to work on paper and canvas.

In 1993, Goff joined her mother in running the gallery and continued after her mother’s death in 1998. The gallery closed in 2006. Curating and some art dealing continued for a few years. Painting and designing clothing have taken over.

Daniel Schoenheimer is a photographer working primarily in digital media, and has been shooting local scenes for the last 10 years. The ocean, woodlands, and sunsets of the East End have been the main focus of his work, and have inspired many series illustrating the natural beauty of our surroundings - from Montauk to Southampton.

Sally Breen has long taken her inspiration from the beauty of the ocean. Living in Water Mill, NY, the artist draws on the continual change of light and the reflection from the water surrounding her. Ms. Breen’s lyrical, contemporary paintings capture the very essence of light and water and are transformative for both the artist and viewer. The artist is able to capture the enormity of the sky and the expanse of the ocean on canvas, while conveying the moods of the moment. Her paintings are a powerful metaphor for all that is beautiful, changing and hard to contain in life.

Ms. Breen also served as a gallerist at The Gallery, Sag Harbor, an experience that convinced her she preferred art creation to art business. However, seeing a need for a main street gallery that can give artists a platform, she has become a partner in The White Room Gallery.

In the past her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found The Local Art Rag, the East End’s Guide to local artists and musicians, with her partner Daniel Schoenheimer, which ran for five years. Earlier in her varied career, includes computer graphics, print making, gouache painting; and even one-of-a-kind silk-screened tee shirts sold at Thompson Square Park back in the day.

Ms. Breen’s contemporary style is informed by her intuitive and reflective approach to the subject, yet Ms. Breen has a very solid classical training in the arts. She received her BFA from Syracuse University and took post-graduate classes at the New York Academy of Art. She also has studied at as varied institutions as the Corcoran, the Torpedo Factory, SUNY Purchase and NYU.
