Just for fun, we examined the square footage available for art during Miami Art Week at the art fairs (including Art Basel Miami Beach) and the Miami art community in general. While the amount of space available for exhibiting art doesn't indicate the quality and importance of what's exhibited on the walls or installed on the floors, racking up square footage for art allows a lot of art to be seen. Keep reading to discover the number of square footage devoted to art this week in Miami and Miami Beach:

500,000:  Exhibitor Space at Art Basel Miami Beach 2015

200,000: Programmable indoor and outdoor space at the new Pérez Art Museum Miami

140,000: Mana Wynwood Convention Center, inaugurated this week

80,000: Wynwood Walls covered with art since inception by over 50 artists from 16 countries

50,000: Red Dot art fair's new 2015 art fair space
