AMAGANSETT FREE LIBRARY - "Art/History/Amagansett: Championing the Emerging Artist on the East End" takes place on Saturday at 6 p.m. Sara De Luca, director of Ille Arts, and artist/gallerist Eric Brown of Tibor de Nagy talk with East Hampton Star art critic Jennifer Landes about emerging art and artists, as well as the effect of place on art markets. ALEX FERRONE PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY - “A Calm Before the Storm” has a Gallery Talk on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. Artists Christine Matthäi and Dalton Portella will lead a discussion about their works on view. ASHAWAGH HALL - “Zachary Cohen and Matthew J. Vega” has an Opening Reception on Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 20. GUILD HALL - "Roy Lichtenstein Panel Discussion" takes place on Sunday at 3 p.m. Art historian Avis Berman will moderate a panel with Roy Lichtenstein's assistant

POLLOCK-KRASNER HOUSE & STUDY CENTER - “Artists on Film Series” continues on September 11 at 7 p.m. with Shirley Clarke’s “Portrait of Jason,” 1967 (105 min). In conjunction with the exhibition, “Elaine de Kooning Portrayed,” this year’s film series focuses on portraiture in film. Admission is free. WATER MILL

PARRISH ART MUSEUM - “Guided Tour of the Permanent Collection” takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The docent-led tour features highlights from the seven permanent collection galleries. Free with museum admission. Reservations suggested.

SARA NIGHTINGALE GALLERY - “Pop-Up Art & Design Show with Louise Fischer” takes place from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A Toast/Skål will be held on Saturday night from 5 - 7 p.m. The project integrates Louise Fischer of Kontrast’s (Curated Danish Design) products with contemporary art from the gallery stable.
