PARRISH ART MUSEUM at THE ART BARGE - "Parrish Road Show, Saskia Friedrich: ENCOUNTER/LOVE" has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The project features a floating fabric performance on the water and a fabric installation housed within a temporary pavilion. LUCILLE KHORNAK GALLERY - "Joss Parker" has an Opening Reception on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Gallery's Bridgehampton location. The exhibition remains on view through September 4. Works on view make use of enamel spray paint and stencils and take inspiration from Pop art and street art. THE WHITE ROOM GALLERY - “Beth O’Donnell & Ann Brandeis” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition remains on view through September 7. EAST HAMPTON/SPRINGS

ASHAWAGH HALL - “Convergence ll” has an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition is on view on weekends from August 21 to 30. The show is curated by artist Hector deCordova. GUILD HALL - “The Garden As Art: Garden to Table Tour” takes place on Friday and Saturday at six private gardens. Stops at local working farms include a breakfast and other treats. A Cocktail Reception for for patrons, benefactors, and co-chairs takes place on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Forest Retreat. A Luncheon for benefactors, co-chairs, and sponsors with speakers takes place on Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tickets range from $100 to $500. QUOGUE GALLERY - "Pieter Greeff: Faces of the Sea” and “Water’s Edge,” paintings by Marshall Crossman, have Opening Receptions on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. Both exhibitions remain on view through September 30. RIVERHEAD

BLUE DUCK BAKERY - "Poetry Street Open Mic" takes place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.  The spoken word project by Susan Dingle is for the East End Arts' JumpstART program. Poets, comedians and storytellers are invited to sign up at 1:30 PM; the first 15 writers to sign-up have 3 minutes to perform original work. $5 fee for poets and audience members. EAST END ARTS - “What Floats Your Boat?” Featuring Chris Dyer takes place today through Sunday. Dyer is an East End Arts Artist-In-Residence. The series of events taking place this weekend include a cardboard boat race featuring boats painted by Dyer, a free teen art workshop, a screening of Dyer’s Documentary, stand up paddle board demonstrations, rain barrel painting and more. SUFFOLK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - “An Island's Trade: Nineteenth-Century Shipbuilding on Long Island” Book Discussion takes place this evening at 6 p.m. Author Richard F. URBAN ZEN - “Haiti in the Hamptons” takes place on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The group exhibition includes Haitian artisans Caroline Sada, Chandler Busby, Karine Faubert Villard, Magalie Dresse and Paula Coles. A portion of proceeds from the sale of Haitian artisan products are used to continue the Urban Zen Foundation’s Haitian initiatives which include the Haitians Artisan Project and the DOT Program – Design, Organization, Training Center for Haiti Artisans.
